One of the few positives of the lockdowns has been that families living in the same home have spent more quality time together.

This time together has seen a surge in the number of board games sold.

Amazon has just released the top ten games that families across St Neots and the UK have been buying in the battle to banish boredom, giving you a few days to maybe treat yourselves to something new to play at the weekend (other online shops are also available)

Here they are:

  1. Orchard Toys Match and Spell Game and Shopping List Extras (our son absolutely loves the shopping list game, and you can buy lots of add on sets) Educational learning for ages 3+ 2-4 players.
  2. EXIT - The Game. Escape rooms for the home, ages 10+ numerous players.
  3. Another from Orchard Toys, a favourite in the Butler Residential household, Animal Families. Develops matching and memory skills for kids aged 3+ 2-4 players.
  4. Ticket to Ride United Kingdom. Travel fun. Ages 8+, 2-5 players.
  5. Monopoly - The property classic. 2-6 players.
  6. First Times Tables. Multiplication learning for kids aged 5-8, 2-4 players.

  8. Bananagrams Big Letter. Fun word game. 7+ 1-8 players
  9. Mouse Trap, reviewed by Mensa for kids, practise valuable skills in construction, cause and effect and decision-making. Ages 6+, 2-4 players.

What games are you playing to stave off lockdown boredom and to bring your family together?

We might not have the Monopoly in the area, but why don't you take a chance card ?
