Keep Britain Tidy are calling on you to help us love, protect and respect our parks this ‘Love Parks Week'

This year, more than ever, our parks and green spaces have been a vital lifeline to so many of us during lockdown

Our green spaces have been under immense pressure, with an average of an extra 57 tonnes of litter, per local authority, collected during the first lockdown alone.

In May 2020, 36% of people responding to the People and Nature Survey by Natural England said they were spending more time outside during the pandemic than before. This rose to 46% in July 2020.

More than 40% of people surveyed noticed that nature, wildlife, and visiting local green and natural spaces have been even more important to their wellbeing since the coronavirus restrictions began.

Do you agree?

Join us in celebrating Love Parks Week with Keep Britain Tidy today up until the 1st of August 2021.

Show love, respect and protect our vital green spaces.
