The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,600 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake.

We are very fortunate to live in an area with lots of open gardens.

This Friday and Saturday and until the 5th of September, Buckdens very own open garden will be inviting people to share in its many beautiful and unique plants.

A garden approx 1 acre in size, consisting of many designs including a Japanese style interlinked by gravel paths, a quirky garden, a plantsmans garden for all seasons and a small bog garden. There are a large selection of acers, pines, and rare shrubs.

Booking is essential and admission is £4.00 (children go free)

All money raised goes towards The National Garden Scheme beneficiaries including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.

Hopefully the weather improves, although I'm sure the gardens will be loving the current showers and sunshine we have been experiencing this week.
