Yesterday was a date we will all remember in 2021, marking the opening of outside dining and drinking in England.

Luckily the weather so far this week has given many businesses in St Neots and the surrounding area the potential to create a European-style café culture.

With only 38% of hospitality venues across Britain having access to outside space, many have had to apply for a pavement license.

According to 10 councils in the largest metropolitan areas in England, a total of 840 pavement licensing applications have been approved.

That doesn't mean you can't still support cafes, pubs and restaurants that can't facilitate outside dining, with many still offering takeaway options.

You could even tick off a few more points from #TheStNeotsPromise by grabbing a take out and heading down to your local park with family or friends (taking your rubbish away with you) and any other bits you see discarded.

Have you had the chance to grab a drink, or bite to eat al fresco yet?
